What if you could ‘BUY TIME’?

YOU CAN. $150 will keep nurses and midwives in rural areas updated on current information that could save a mother and her child…

A woman can bleed to death in less than two hours while giving birth; leaving families devastated. Every year, an estimated 342,900 women die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth, 99% of these deaths occur in developing countries. Obstetric hemorrhage (OH), which includes hemorrhage during pregnancy, childbirth, or after delivery, is the leading cause of maternal mortality.

A Global Connection is committed to providing and monitoring the success of low tech anti-shock (NSAG) garments that have been proven to save lives and families by preventing mother’s death from hemorrhaging in childbirth.

In collaboration with the Longido Health District in Tanzania, AGC is working with ten rural clinics to pilot the first use of NSAGs in this area. To ensure the continued success of the program, we need to be able to track the supervision and ongoing effectiveness of the devices. Working with the rural pilot clinics, nurses and doctors, we can do this by simply providing cellular enabled tablets. These tablets will allow pilot participants to track the program progress, communicate with each other to share best practices and empower them to manage the health care needs of this high-risk population.

How can you help? Your tax-deductible contribution will help us raise funds for tablets and additional anti-shock garments.

Our goal is $5,000. Can we count on you for support?

As a thank-you:

For each $75 contribution, you can choose a pack of Four (4) handmade gift cards.
For each $100 contribution, you can choose an 8×10 photograph.
