Students in Tanzania
Need: $13,500
Solar Lights: 900
Learn More About It
- Maasai school in the Olmoti district of Tanzania, Northeastern part of the country, on the slopes of Kilimanjaro
- Need 900 lights for students, in this rural community
- Parntered with Diane Raleigh & Gloria Upchurch of The Olmoti Clinic
- Our goal is to provide each of the students in the Olmoti district with a solar light as there is no electricity in this rural area.
- Students must rely on toxic, dangerous, and expensive kerosene in order to complete their studies in the evenings. Daylight hours are devoted to a full day of school and helping parents with chores and farm work until dark. Solar lights provide clean, safe light for study and personal development.
